Hi! I’m Satara. My name means “star” in Farsi. My mother named me after my great-great-great-grandmother.

I was born in Florida and raised in Georgia. I’ve always had an interest in sports and exercise which is what led me to choose exercise science as my major at Georgia State University. Though challenging, I completed Bachelor’s degree in 2013. My senior year of undergrad, I went on a study abroad trip which doubled as my first international experience to Beijing, China. Although I was only there for 2 weeks, it was enough to light the travel fire in me. I’ve since travelled to Greece, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and most recently Thailand. I currently live in McDonough, Georgia now with my parents. I’m very blessed to be able to spend time with them and they help me out tremendously. With daily task. It’s because of them that I’m able to focus most of my time on studying and work.

I’m now pursuing admissions to an Occupational Therapy program. I’m the youngest in my family with my older brother and I being 2 years apart.

I like to exercise, hike, play tennis, and play video games. I’ve been playing Zelda – Tears of the Kingdom a lot lately.
